I also tried to update the driver using some software from Intel, but got the exact same result. Thank you for your answer, unfortunately I still have the same problem no matter which Intel drivers I install, and no matter how I do it.įrom Asus website for my computer (N551VW : N551VW Driver & Tools | Laptops | ASUS Global )Īnd also a few from Intel's website (like 15.60 / 15.45 / etc.) NB current drivers for Windows 10 require anniversary update or newer To bypass message "best driver is already installed", "customized computer manufacturer driver" or "computer is not validated" install driver via have disk method as described at: Then try drivers from this list Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 530 You didn't mention which Intel driver version you used.įirst try drivers from N551VW Driver & Tools | Laptops | ASUS Global If it was dead, your computer would not work at all. The Intel GPU is actually part of a "System on a chip" together with the CPU. Is the GPU dead? Is it a conflict between the two GPUs ? When my computer starts, it gets to a black screen, then off, then black screen, and so on, like searching for the monitor. I could use my computer normally without the intel card, but that brings two problems :ġ- I can't update Windows, otherwise it's upgrading the drivers and therefore crashes.Ģ- I can't control the screen of my laptop anymore, so I can't adjust the brightness or filter blue light.Īfter trying a new Intel driver that I installed in safe mode, I have a new type of error.

Using GPU-Z, the intel GPU appears as Default Microsoft GPU (name is Skylake GT2, but no information in Bus Interface). I am wondering if it means that my integrated intel GPU is dead or not.

I tried a lot of things (reinstalling everything in different orders, formatting entirely my SSD.), but nothing change the problem. The other GPU, a NVIDIA 960m, is working without problem, with latest drivers intalled. The same problem happens if I don't block Windows update, as it is trying to update the drivers of intel GPU. Indeed I can install every driver normally, but if I try to install the intel GPU's then my screen turns black, and the only way to use my computer again is to uninstall the intel GPU from Safe Mode. Everything works normally except the integrated GPU, Intel HD Graphics 530. I have one massive problem and can't find the solution. The Windows recovery Tools didn't work, so I reinstalled Windows 10 from scratch. I am using an Asus laptop (N551VW) that was working very well until recently.
